The team is hoping to see him play in the first match on Sunday. Though there is no official announcement in this regard, the chances of Jasprit playing in the match are high.

He had been in Bengaluru for the last few days. Jasprit had been to the BCCI Centre of Excellence. This is just a routine check-up for him. Jasprit bowled at full speed and is expected to lead the bowling team. Mumbai Indians are to play against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium.
The last season saw Jasprit miss the first four matches of the tournament. Mumbai Indians had a hard time without Jasprit. The team had lost three matches. Though the team managed to play in the finals, the team finished fourth. A good team like Mumbai Indians would have liked to finish in a higher position.
The two players, Will Jacks and Mitchell Santner, have not yet joined the team. Santner has just finished a series with South Africa and will join the team shortly. However, it will take more time for Will Jacks to join the team due to his personal reason.
The other players of the MI team practiced at Wankhede on Friday night. The players of KKR also practiced at Wankhede and seemed ready. However, the availability of Matheesha Pathirana still needs to be confirmed. The teams will practice again on Saturday. Everyone will be keeping an eye on Bumrah before the big match.
