Tollywood actor Jr NTR recently underwent surgery for a shoulder injury he sustained during the shoot of Prashanth Neel’s Dragon. The hospital announced on Thursday that he has been discharged and will undergo a rehabilitation programme to facilitate a faster recovery. The actor was all smiles as he posed for a picture with the hospital’s team and doctors.

Jr NTR discharged after shoulder surgery
Jr NTR underwent an arthroscopic shoulder surgery at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, and was discharged on Thursday. The hospital posted a picture of him wearing a brace on his right shoulder and giving a thumbs-up with his left hand. The actor was all smiles and looked happy as he posed for a picture with the doctors and the hospital’s team.
Posting the picture, the hospital wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “We’re pleased to share that actor N.T.R has been successfully discharged from KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, following a successful arthroscopic shoulder surgery led by Dr. R. A. Purnachandra Tejaswi, and Dr. Nithin Bejjanki.”
They also added about his recovery, “He is doing well and will now continue with a structured rehabilitation programme under medical supervision towards a full recovery. Our CMD – Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao wished him a speedy and complete recovery. We wish N.T.R continued strength and a smooth recovery ahead.”
In a previous health bulletin, KIMS had stated that it would take him 2-3 months to completely recover from the injury.
Jr NTR thanks fans for love and support
After undergoing surgery on Wednesday, Jr NTR thanked fans for their love and support. “I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers from all of you. The surgery was successful and I’m doing well. My heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team of doctors at KIMS,” he wrote, adding, “To my friends, family, and fans; your support gives me strength every single day. See you soon!”
Jr NTR’s injury came days after his uncle, Nandamuri Balakrishna, was also injured while shooting for an upcoming film with Gopichand Malineni. The actor was performing an action sequence when he got injured. “Get well soon Bala Babai. Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health. Looking forward to seeing you roar back in full form…” wrote Jr NTR, wishing his uncle a speedy recovery.
Last seen in Koratala Siva’s Devara and Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, the actor will star in Dragon. Prashanth Neel’s film will also star Rukmini Vasanth, Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon and others.
