Justin Greaves has been ruled out of the second ODI against India after suffering a calf injury during the opening game in Thiruvananthapuram. The West Indies batter scored 101 off 108 balls in the first ODI, registering his maiden ODI century. He did not take the field during India’s chase after picking up the injury while batting.
Greaves Ruled Out of Guwahati ODI
West Indies posted 295 in the opening match, with John Campbell and Amir Jangoo also scoring half-centuries alongside Greaves’ century. India chased down the target in 41.4 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill scored centuries during the successful chase.
The second ODI will be played in Guwahati on September 30, with Greaves unavailable for the match due to his calf injury. The third ODI is scheduled to be played in Chandigarh on October 3. The ODI series will be followed by a five-match T20I series. The T20I series will be played from October 6 to 17.
