Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently made headlines with her remarks about the Gen Z protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak. In a series of social media posts, she referred to some of the Gen Z protesters as the “gutter generation”. Now, the actor-turned-politician has shared another post declaring that she identifies as Gen Alpha.

Kangana Ranaut says she identifies as Gen Alpha
On Saturday, Kangana took to Instagram and shared a reel on her Story. The reel featured a little girl acting like a Gen Z “influencer” while promoting eating lettuce. The caption on the reel read, “Gen Alpha roasting Gen Z is pure gold.” Sharing the video, Kangana wrote, “It is official I identify as Gen Alpha. Gen Alpha is like come to the point, no nonsense detected.” She also shared another video of a young child dressed as a soldier and wrote, “Gen Alpha is bleeding tricolour.”
What did Kangana Ranaut say about Gen Z?
Kangana had earlier posted a series of videos criticising the CJP protesters over the language they used against leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
She had said, “Never in my life have I seen so much ugliness in one place; these reels from Gen Z protests are puke-inducing. The way they speak and the kind of language they are using, never in my life have I seen everything in each and every frame so jarring and so crass all at once, ewwww who is birthing and raising them? Here is a new generation of so-called westernised Indian women. I call them generation gutter.”
However, a few days later, she appeared to soften her stance, describing Gen Z as “the strength and assets of our country”.
Kangana Ranaut’s recent and upcoming work
Kangana was last seen in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is based on the true story of the nurses and staff at Cama Hospital who saved patients’ lives during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The film received positive reviews from critics but failed to perform well at the box office.
Kangana is also set to make her move to Hollywood. According to Variety, the Queen actor will make her Hollywood debut with the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil. The Lions Movies project will feature Kangana alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone. The film will be directed by Anurag Rudra, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gatha Tiwary.
