After the new reality show Desi Bling dropped on Netflix, fans of Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash were thrilled to find out that they were engaged. The couple that met on Bigg Boss 15 dated for four years before their engagement. However, the road to them taking the next step wasn’t always smooth, as Karan admitted on Desi Bling that his parents had misgivings about their relationship.
Karan Kundrra claims to ‘parenting’ Tejasswi Prakash
Karan was asked on the third episode of the show why he hasn’t popped the question to Tejasswi yet. While Tejasswi always brushed off the same question from her fellow female castmates in previous episodes, Karan opened up to his male castmates and claimed it’s because he’s always ‘parenting’ her and is worried about having children with her. He also claimed that his parents questioned him about it.
“When it comes to a husband and wife, you have to play the role of a husband, and you have to play the role of a wife as well. I just need her to, you know, probably…grow up. Be less demanding. I can’t be doing everything for you,” he claimed on the show, adding, “Stupid example, if you’re landing at 4, you have left it on me that I will arrange for somebody to pick you up. What if I forget? I’m the manager. I’m literally parenting her.”
Karan then claimed his parents also pointed it out, stating, “Around 2-3 years ago, my parents asked me, Karan, you are always around her, orbiting her, and you are always taking care of everything. Now I’m very worried that in the future, when we have kids, this will be doubled.” Dyuti Parruck, who is going through marital troubles with his wife, Iryna Kinakh, told him it’ll be ten times worse and began speaking of his own issues.

The Desi Bling promos featured the couple having their share of dramatic fights, sparking breakup rumours. However, despite his supposed doubts about their future, Karan proposed to Tejasswi on the show.
The actor went down on one knee and presented Tejasswi with a massive diamond ring before asking for her hand in marriage. “Tejasswi Prakash, will you marry me?” he asked. She was visibly overwhelmed by the surprise proposal. With tears in her eyes, she said, “I am shivering. My hands are not going to stop.” Fans were thrilled as soon as the episodes dropped and the videos of his proposal surfaced on the internet.
