Kolkata Knight Riders have featured several young players during their IPL history. Mandeep Singh holds the record for being the youngest player to represent KKR, making his IPL debut at 18 years and 94 days in 2010. Iqbal Abdulla, Jaydev Unadkat, H S Bhatia and Shubman Gill are among the other youngest players to have appeared for the franchise.
KKR have also had several experienced players in their squads. Brad Hogg is the oldest player to appear for the franchise, playing his final IPL match for KKR at 45 years and 92 days in 2016. Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis, David Wiese and Yusuf Pathan are among the other oldest players to have represented the Kolkata franchise. Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL three times, lifting the trophy in 2012, 2014 and 2024. The franchise has also finished runners-up in 2021.
