The couple, who are known for their podcast Plug Talk, share a five-year-old daughter together, and have been married since 2023. Here’s what Lena said about reports regarding her split with Adam.

Lena took to Instagram to clear the air, and wrote “The internet is a really scary place.” She went on to detail a rather disturbing set of events that led to the divorce papers being filed in court.

Lena the Plug explains why divorce papers were filed

Lena began the video saying “I’m here to address the chaos.” The 35-year-old continued that last month she had gone to check her mailbox, at which time, she saw ‘rejected paperwork’ from a courthouse.

“Somebody has been trying to file for divorce on my behalf,” Lena added. The content creator went on to add that the person had filled out her name, her address, her daughter’s name, birthday, and other such personal details.

The person had also attached a check for $435, Lena shared. However, the name she saw on the check made her ‘freak out’ Lena shared on the video. Referring to the person as ‘John’ but clarifying that was not the real name, Lena added that it matched the name the cops gave her when they arrived at her house ‘two different times’ and said that someone had called for a welfare check, claiming Lena was being abused by her husband.

Lena claimed that the person who called the cops was the same one who had filed the divorce paperwork. The podcaster explained how she’d allowed the cops to enter and explained that she had not been the one to place the call. Lena noted that the person’s name was ‘hard to forget’.

She described the experience as ‘scary’ as she was left wondering if the person had filed anything else under her name. Lena went on to share how the police guided her about filing an identity theft case, since the person was allegedly forging her signature. She added that she filed a case on May 6.

However, TMZ then reported on the alleged divorce, which made Lena realize that the person must have filed for it under her name. She shared as much in the clip and added that she now needed a lawyer to prove she was not seeking a divorce.

At the same time, Lena shared a chilling theory that the person was probably being catfished by someone pretending to be her, and claimed the individual might even be asking this ‘John’ for money.

While Adam had initially posted ‘freedom’ amid reports of the two splitting up, which had led to further confusion, the content creator has now confirmed that there’s no bad blood between him and Lena. ‘I could never turn my back on her,’ Adam shared in an Instagram story.
