Chennai Super Kings are looking at the possibility of signing Liam Livingstone from Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of IPL 2027. Talks between the franchises are underway, but there is no clarity yet on whether the deal will happen. As per Cricbuzz, there is one more north-based team which has expressed interest in the all-rounder from England. SRH still has not made their decision with few players being considered in the talks.
CSK Interested In Bringing Liam Livingstone On Board
Livingstone was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 13 crore rupees in the last auction. This team signed him after releasing him from Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB had acquired his services for 8.75 crore rupees at the last mega auction.
However, his first season with SRH did not go well. He managed just 15 runs in two matches and soon lost his place in the playing XII, including the Impact Player. CSK are now exploring a possible trade, but the players they could offer in return are not known. Khaleel Ahmed is one name that has come up in the discussions, although his involvement is not confirmed. SRH recently brought back T Natarajan, another left-arm pacer. This makes a possible exchange involving Khaleel an interesting point in the negotiations.
More Than Two Franchises Involved In Trade Talks
The discussions are not limited to Livingstone and Khaleel Ahmed. Sources suggest CSK could offer another player, while multiple franchises are also part of the talks. “The franchises are certainly discussing Livingstone and another player apart from Khaleel in CSK. Multiple players and multiple franchises are involved in the trade discussions, not just two, and nothing has been finalised,” sources said.
“It may or may not go through.” At present, SRH are yet to determine their stance on accepting the offer. Negotiations are still ongoing, and there is no certainty that this trade will take place.

Hardik Pandya Trade Talks Yet To Reach Final Stage
Meanwhile, the Hardik Pandya trade talks have gathered pace, with Punjab Kings (PBKS) reportedly close to signing the Mumbai Indians all-rounder. According to Sportstar, Arshdeep Singh and wicketkeeper-batter Vishnu Vinod could move to MI in exchange for Hardik. The management of both franchises have almost agreed on the proposed deal, with an official announcement expected later this week.
Mumbai Indians had also held discussions with Kolkata Knight Riders over a possible trade involving Hardik. Meanwhile, Arshdeep’s expected move could lead to another deal, with PBKS considering a swap involving Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mohsin Khan and Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. With the November 17 retention deadline approaching, the coming days could be important for the ongoing trades involving Livingstone and Pandya.
