Singing legend, Lionel Richie continues to be in the intensive care unit, following his health scare after his St. Louis Concert.TMZ has learned that Richie is undergoing testing for cardiac-related issues while still in the hospital. Although the singer was hoping to be out of the hospital by Tuesday, sources in the know told the portal that he may be in for a day longer and is expected to be discharged on Wednesday.Lionel checked himself into the hospital for testing after his Saturday night performance at The Muny. Reports stated that the singer appeared to be ‘struggling’ toward the end of the concert, and he asked his team to bring him a chair so he could sit while performing his final song, “All Night Long.”Following his hospitalisation, doctors were reportedly looking into possible causes, including mild dehydration.The news comes just two months after Richie was forced to abruptly end a concert in Minnesota in June after appearing to fall ill on stage. While on tour with the music band ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’, Richie told the audience he was feeling dizzy and performed several songs while seated before leaving the stage for an intermission. He ultimately did not return to finish the performance.After two shows were postponed, the singer returned to the stage in Pittsburgh on June 30. He and the music band ‘Earth, Wind and Fire’ finished their joint tour earlier this month in Austin, Texas.Saturday was his first show since that tour ended, and he’s got 10 more shows for 2026 currently listed on his website, starting with the Chase Centre in San Francisco on September 26.
