CPL 2026: Pakistan players galore as Jamaica Kingsmen reveal squadJamaica Kingsmen will have a significant Pakistan presence in their lineup this Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as they named four players from the country in the squad.

Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, and Hunain Shah are the four Pakistan players in the squad. Hassan Khan, Tayyab Arif, and Shayan Jahangir, all three of whom also have Pakistani roots, are the other three players in their overseas contingent.

Overseas players partially available

All seven of their overseas players were part of Hyderabad Kingsmen, Jamaica’s parent franchise, in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Barring Hassan and Hunain, the rest of the foreign players will be partially available for the league.

Ayub, Sadaqat, and Usman will join the squad after August 19, as they will be busy with the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) four-team domestic ODI competition, likely from August 11 to 18. Shayan and Arif, meanwhile, will leave during the second half of the tournament.

Barring Saim Ayub, who played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL 2023, none of the other Pakistan players in Kingsmen’s squad have played in the league before.

Rovman Powell, Andre Russell, Keemo Paul, Keacy Carty, Jediah Blades, Shaqkere Parris, Odean Smith, Vitel Lawes (Right to Match Option), Romaine Morris, Kirk McKenzie (Breakout player), Kelvin Pitman (Breakout player), Jeavor Royal (Breakout player), Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Hassan Khan, Hunain Shah, Shayan Jahangir, Tayyab Arif.
