The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a slight change to the schedule for the upcoming five-match T20 series between Pakistan and South Africa U19 Women. The start time for all five matches has been pushed back to 7pm local time.
South Africa set for maiden U19 women’s tour of Pakistan
The tour, which begins on July 14 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, marks the first time South Africa’s U19 women’s team will tour Pakistan. Having arrived in the country on July 10, the visitors have taken part in two training sessions so far, with their third and final session scheduled for July 13 at the National Bank Stadium.
The last time South Africa played competitive cricket was in March earlier this year, when they featured in the Nigeria Invitational Women’s T20I Tournament. They were knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual champions Nigeria.
Pakistan returning after Bangladesh tour
For Pakistan, the series will be their first assignment since touring Bangladesh last December.
Pakistan defeated Bangladesh 3-2 in the five-match T20 series. The tour followed their campaign at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, where they managed just one win in four matches, losing two while one fixture was washed out.
