Peddi worldwide box office collection day 1: Director Buchi Babu Sana’s sports action drama Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead role, released in theatres on June 5 amid massive expectations from fans. Despite receiving mixed-to-positive reviews, Peddi has struck a chord with audiences and delivered a strong start at the box office. The film has emerged as one of the biggest openers of 2026, crossing the 100 crore mark worldwide on its opening day and reinforcing Ram Charan’s star power.

Peddi’s worldwide box office performance

According to Sacnilk, Peddi collected a net of 51.00 crore across 12,412 shows. This brings total India gross collections to 82.49 crore and total India net collections to 69.50 crore so far (including 18.50 crore paid previews). Overseas, the film has grossed a total of 30.00 crore, pushing its total worldwide gross collection to 112.49 crore.

While Ram’s film failed to surpass the opening day worldwide collection of Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge, 238.60 crore worldwide, It has still managed to surpass the collections of films like Dhurandhar ( 43 crore), Pathaan ( 104.19 crore) and Prabhas’ The Raja Saab ( 100.9 crore). While The Raja Saab failed at the box office eventually, Dhurandhar and Pathaan emerged as blockbusters. Peddi has also performed better than Ram’s previous release, Game Changer, which collected 80.9 crore worldwide on day 1. It is yet to be seen if the film will be able to maintain the momentum and emerge as a success at the box office or not.

Helmed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama tells the story of a talented hired cricketer from a neglected village in Vizianagaram. While various teams compete to recruit him for important matches, Peddi sees cricket as an opportunity to bring recognition and dignity to his village. Determined to put his community on the map, he takes on several challenges in pursuit of that goal.

The film stars Ram Charan in the titular role along with Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in key roles. Ram’s wife and entrepreneur Upasana Konidela was seen celebrating the film’s release along with the fans in the theatre. She was seen cheering for her husband along with the fans. One of the clips also showed her picking up paper bits strewn across the floor and tossing them into the air, adding her own touch to the confetti-filled frenzy inside the auditorium.
