Pakistan Super League (PSL) completed its first double-header weekend, which ended with a low-scoring thriller between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars.
Despite Shaheen Shah Afridi’s four-wicket haul that took him to the top of the wicket-takers table, Karachi replaced Lahore at the top after a five-wicket win. Earlier in the day, Quetta Gladiators handed Hyderabad Kingsmen their second defeat in two games.
The win, which was Quetta’s first after a defeat against Karachi in the opening game, came on the back of on-song Shamyl Hussain’s 54 off 41 balls. With his half-century, Shamyl is now the leading run-scorer of the tournament, with 106 runs in two games.
During the chase, Ahmed Daniyal and Abrar Ahmed did wonders to share 5 wickets between them and cripple Hyderabad while chasing 175.
