The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh’s exit from ‘Don 3’ continues to make headlines, and it has been reported that the actor will not address the matter for the next 18 months. Singh has reportedly decided to stay away from journalists and interviews until the release of his upcoming film, Jay Mehta’s ‘Pralay’.

According to the Free Press Journal report, a trade journalist shared details from a personal interaction with Ranveer Singh. The report stated, “I met him personally. And he told me he will not speak on the ‘Don 3’ controversy, nor will he give any interviews for at least 18 months.”The report also mentioned that the ‘Dhurandhar’ star has several pending interview requests awaiting his approval.The report further added that the actor currently has nothing to say to either Ritesh Sidhwani or Farhan Akhtar, the producers behind ‘Don 3’. However, he is hopeful that Zoya Akhtar, with whom he shares a good equation, might step in at some point to help patch things up between her brother and him. This has kept hope alive within the industry.

The fallout between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over ‘Don 3’ has turned into one of Bollywood’s biggest controversies. Multiple online reports suggest that Singh exited the project due to creative differences with the makers. Several reports have also claimed that the actor was unhappy with constant production delays and the lack of a finalised script.What started as a routine casting change has now turned into a legal dispute, with Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment seeking Rs 45 crore in compensation. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had also issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh, which has since been withdrawn.

Jai had earlier co-directed ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ and ‘Lootere’ and is known for his realistic style of storytelling.The film is being co-produced by Hansal Mehta along with Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment, adding more weight to what is turning out to be one of the more unconventional Hindi films currently in development.
