Plunket Shield 2026-27: Schedule, Teams, Squads and Live StreamingThe Plunket Shield 2026-27 is scheduled to take place from November 19, 2026, to March 29, 2027, in New Zealand. The tournament will mark the 101st season of the country’s premier domestic first-class cricket competition, featuring 24 four-day matches across eight rounds.

A total of six teams will compete for the Plunket Shield title: Auckland Aces, Canterbury Kings, Central Stags, Northern Districts, Otago Volts and Wellington Firebirds. Canterbury enter the new season as defending champions after winning the 2025-26 title on net runs per wicket, finishing level on points and wins with Otago. The competition will be played across nine venues in New Zealand, with four rounds scheduled before the Christmas break and the remaining four rounds taking place in March 2027.
