The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 semi-finals are set, with India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan reaching the knockout stage. India will play Bangladesh on September 10, while defending champions Sri Lanka will face Pakistan on September 11. Both matches will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and will start at 8 PM IST.
India reached the semi-finals with a perfect three wins from three matches in Group A. They also beat Pakistan by seven wickets after bowling them out for just 55 runs. Sree Charani took three wickets for seven runs in that match. Smriti Mandhana has scored 152 runs at an average of 50.66, including a superb 124 off 64 balls against Hong Kong. Shafali Verma has also been in good form and recently became the youngest woman to score 3,000 T20I runs.
Bangladesh secured their semi-final spot after beating the United Arab Emirates by 34 runs on Tuesday night. They showed good control while defending their total, but they will face a tough test against India. India have been one of the strongest teams in the tournament so far.
The defending champions have secured top spot in Group B without conceding any loss and face Pakistan in their second semi-final. The bowler who played a vital part in the success of the defending champions is Chamari Athapaththu, who holds nine wickets in the bowling rankings and averages 3.88. Sri Lanka also won against Bangladesh by four wickets and Harshitha Samarawickrama made an unbeaten 48 to help her side win the game.
