The wait for actor and CM Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay’s debut directorial ‘Sigma’ confirming a fresh date for its theatrical release. The Sundeep Kishan-starrer was earlier planned for July 31, but its release was postponed after Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ moved to July 23. The makers have now chosen the Gandhi Jayanti weekend to bring the film to audiences worldwide.

The biggest update surrounding ‘Sigma’ is its new release date. According to the makers, the film will arrive in theatres on October 2, 2026, giving it a festive release window. The film is being promoted as a high-stakes heist adventure that mixes action, comedy, treasure-hunt elements, and unexpected twists. Sundeep Kishan leads the project, while Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj and Shiv Panditt are among the other important members of the cast. The film has been made in Tamil and Telugu, expanding its reach across two major South Indian markets.

‘Sigma’ marks Jason Sanjay’s first film as a director. The young filmmaker has chosen a different genre for his debut, bringing together a heist plot with adventure and comedy.
