The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are facing another setback in IPL 2026 after losing the services of Jack Edwards, David Payne, and Brydon Carse. Now even Shivam Mavi has been ruled out for SRH.
SRH bring in U-19 World Cup performer RS Ambrish after Shivam Mavi injury setback
Shivam Mavi was bought for INR 75 lakh in the player auction but hasn’t been able to play a single game due to groin injury. In order to replace Mavi, the SRH has signed RS Ambrish for INR 30 lakh. Ambrish is a fast bowling all-rounder who is just 18 years old now.
Ambrish has been impressive in the Under-19 World Cup in 2026 by claiming 11 wickets in 7 games including 3 Wickets in the final match. He also contributed to the side with few useful runs with the bat.
He made his Ranji Trophy debut for Tamil Nadu last year when he claimed 1 wicket in his very first game while scoring 43 runs in the next. He has not played even a single game of T20 cricket but was a part of Lyca Kovai Kings in Tamil Nadu Premier League.
