Telegram moves Delhi high court against Centre's ban ahead of NEET-UG re-test

NEW DELHI: Russian messaging platform Telegram on Tuesday moved the Delhi high court challenging the Centre’s decision to ban the app ahead of the NEET-UG re-test.According to news agency ANI, Telegram mentioned the matter before a bench of Justice Tejas Karia, which agreed to hear the petition later in the day.The Centre recently ordered a temporary ban on Telegram ahead of the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, citing concerns over the circulation of exam-related content and potential misuse of the platform.Telegram has now sought judicial intervention against the government’s decision, arguing against the temporary restriction imposed before the examination.(With inputs from ANI)
