The Geetu Mohandas directorial crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in India on its opening day, setting up strong expectations for its first weekend. A closer look at the language-wise split shows the Hindi version leading the charge with Rs. 55 crore, followed by a strong showing from the Kannada version at Rs 23.30 crore. The Telugu version added Rs 16 crore to the tally, while Tamil and Malayalam contributed Rs 5.50 crore and Rs 1.30 crore respectively.Its overseas performance has been equally strong, with the film grossing Rs. 20 crore internationally on Day 1 alone. As per Sacnilk, ‘Toxic’ is currently running across 11,435 shows and has collected Rs. 6.79 crore net so far in live tracking.This takes the film’s total India gross collection to Rs 128.76 crore and its India net total to Rs 107.89 crore, with final Day 2 numbers still awaited.Language-wise, Hindi continues to lead the live count with Rs 4.02 crore, followed by Kannada at Rs 1.94 crore, Telugu at Rs 0.49 crore, Tamil at Rs 0.25 crore and Malayalam at Rs 0.09 crore.With evening and night shows yet to be reflected in the live figure, the language-wise totals are expected to move further before the final collection for Day 2 is reported.
