Parul Gulati recently got evicted from the second season of The Traitors. While her elimination came as a surprise to many, she had made headlines in the initial episodes with her strong instincts about the identities of the traitors. However, her gameplay has now come under serious scrutiny after Krystal D’Souza and Shahneel Gill accused her of allegedly getting information from outside the game.In the early episodes, Parul correctly suspected Harman as a traitor and even put her business on the line, saying that she would shut it down if he did not turn out to be one. She later claimed that she had a similar gut feeling about Krystal being a traitor. While some viewers found her repeated instincts suspicious, others praised Parul for playing a smart and fearless game.Krystal recently shared a video addressing the controversy and said she was shocked and furious after learning about the alleged information leak. She questioned how Parul could repeatedly identify traitors without what she believed were valid reasons. Krystal said, “It is so unfair on the rest of the 20 contestants, the innocents who want to use their brains to play the game and catch the traitors, and the traitors who are trying to survive and play their game.”He further said, “To find out that a shadow and a contestant were discussing who the traitor is, I just cannot understand it.” She also questioned Parul’s decision to put her business and life on the line based solely on a “gut feeling”, saying that she now understood how such confidence may have come from alleged information from outside the game.Krystal also recalled the morning when Parul had already suspected her of being a traitor before Krystal had even reached breakfast. She said she had asked Parul for specific points behind the accusation, but felt the reasons given later did not make sense. Referring to Parul’s observation that she had not cried for Munawar, Krystal questioned, “But when did crying or not crying become a point for being a traitor?”Shahneel Gill also reacted strongly to the allegations and described what he believed happened as “match fixing” on The Traitors. Explaining the role of shadows on the show, he said, “Every contestant is assigned a shadow by production, a person who takes care of everything for you. From day to night, whatever you need, they bring it to you.”Shahneel then made the serious allegation that an innocent contestant’s shadow was allegedly being paid to leak information from inside the game to that contestant. He claimed this could explain Parul’s repeated and accurate “gut feelings” about the traitors. “Every morning, I have a gut feeling this person is a traitor. Where does this gut feeling come from? I also wanted it. I also wanted such a gut feeling. And boom, it’s correct,” he said.Shahneel added that the contestants had genuinely believed they were witnessing an extraordinary sixth sense. “We genuinely thought that we were witnessing some crazy sixth-sense intuition. Turns out the gut had a source,” he said.He further remarked, “Imagine going on The Traitors and the traitors are the only ones playing the fair game.” Shahneel said he felt the situation was particularly unfair to the innocent contestants who were genuinely trying to play the game and identify the traitors. Both Krystal and Shahneel expressed disappointment over the alleged incident, particularly because of the effort and secrecy involved in creating the show. Their comments have now added another layer to the controversy surrounding Parul’s gameplay, even as she has not been shown responding to these allegations in the statements shared by the two contestants.
