Actor-turned-politician and TVC chief Vijay Thalapathy will be taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today after his political party dominated the 2026 elections. Ahead of his speech at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, actress Trisha Krishnan, who often makes headlines in connection with her ‘Leo’ co-star, recently reacted ahead of the ceremony.

In a video circulating on social media, one can see the actress being asked about her opinion on “big day for Tamil Nadu.” The ‘Karuppu’ actress briefly said, “Thank you, looking forward,” as she headed out from her residence.For the event, she is seen in a stunning traditional look as she wears a blue saare and gajra in her hair. As she reaches the event premises, another video of her shared by NDTV is surfacing online where the actress can be seen greeting CM-designate Vijay’s family as the ‘Jana Nayagan’ actor will be taking oath shortly.

An older video of Trisha Krishnan is now going viral on the internet, where she can be seen in conversation with Sun TV and jokingly sharing her wish to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.“I want to become the CM of Tamil Nadu. Honestly! Wait and watch, you will see in 10 years,” she had said. When asked what she would do if she entered politics, the actress added, “First, you all vote and elect me, then I’ll tell you.”

On the work front, she was last seen in the Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Thug Life’ directed by renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Despite its hype the film received mixed reviews and had a low box office respone.She is now gearing up for the release of the upcoming Suriya starrer action-fantasy drama ‘Karuppu’. The film is set to hit the big screens on 14th May 2026 worldwide.
