WTC Points Table 2025-27: Updated Standings, PCT & Qualification ScenariosThe ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle is entering an important stage, with teams fighting for places in the final. Australia currently sit at the top of the standings, followed by South Africa and New Zealand.

Unlike a normal points table, the WTC standings are decided by Points Percentage (PCT). This system allows teams that have played different numbers of matches to be compared fairly.

9 Pakistan 9 2 7 0 5 19 4.63%

How Does the WTC Points System Work?

The most important number in the WTC table is the Points Percentage (PCT). Teams do not need to play the same number of Tests during the cycle. Because of this, the WTC uses PCT rather than simply ranking teams by total points.

A team’s PCT is based on the points it has earned compared with the maximum points available from its completed matches. This means a team with fewer matches can be above another team with more points if it has a higher PCT.
