Filmmaker David Dhawan, along with the cast of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, recently visited filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan’s house for her cooking vlog. During the vlog, Farah shared a fun anecdote when Varun’s mother, Karuna Dhawan, aka Laali Dhawan, mistook Shirish Kunder for Sohail Khan’s son, Nirvan Khan.

When Shirish Kunder was mistaken for Nirvan Khan
During the cooking vlog, Farah recalled a fun anecdote from Chunky Panday’s party. She said laughing, “Varun has the best mother in the world, Laali, who is the crackpot of epic proportions. Ek din hum Chunky Panday ki party mein gaye the aur thoda andhera tha vahan. Shirish aur main khade the (One day, we had gone to a party at Chunky Panday’s place, and it was a little dark there. Shirish and I were standing together), and Laali started talking to Shirish, thinking he was Sohail Khan’s son (Nirvan Khan). She said, “Your mother hasn’t come to the party?” So Shirish got confused, “He said my mother was not invited.”
She recalled another instance when she met Varun’s mother at a salon and added, “Then another day I met her at a salon, and she said, ‘Farah you look very bloated today, are you drunk?'” Farah responded by saying that she had simply been eating.
About Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder
Farah and Shirish’s love story started when they were working on the filming of the 2004 hit Main Hoon Na. The film marked Farah’s directorial debut, and Shirish was the editor on the movie. However, their relationship didn’t start on a romantic note; in fact, Farah has often revealed how they used to fight over editing decisions and initially did not get along well.
As they spent more time together, their arguments gradually turned into friendship and then love. They got married in 2004 and welcomed their triplets- son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya- in 2008. Meanwhile, Farah has now promised fans to start her next directorial in December this year. She also revealed that it will be a film featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.
