Vidya Balan once baked a cake for Siddharth
In a 2024 interview with News18, Vidya Balan recalled a memorable first-anniversary gesture for Siddharth Roy Kapur. She revealed that she decided to bake a cake despite having little experience in the kitchen. At the time, Vidya was away shooting for a film. She went into the kitchen at the hotel where she was staying and received assistance from the chef. Siddharth later tasted the cake and complimented her effort.Vidya, however, discovered that the cake was not as successful as she had initially hoped. “I don’t cook at all. But on our first anniversary, I had actually baked a cake for him. I was shooting elsewhere, and I went into the kitchen of that hotel, and the chef helped me a lot. Once Siddharth had it, he told me, ‘It’s so good!’ It was so sweet of him. And then, when I tasted it, I realized it wasn’t good at all! It was so lumpy. I didn’t tell him that the chef helped me make it, but now I guess he’ll know.”
