Vishwanath & Sons worldwide box office collection day 10: Venky Atluri’s Suriya and Mamitha Baiju-starrer Vishwanath & Sons was released in theatres on August 14 to a good response. The film has since performed well at the box office and become not just Suriya’s second-highest-grossing film in his career, but also one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2026. Suriya, who faced a string of flops last year, finds two of his films in the top 3 this year.

Vishwanath & Sons worldwide box office collection
Producer of Vishwanath & Sons, Sithara Entertainment, announced on Monday that the Suriya-starrer has grossed ₹200 crore worldwide in 10 days. “200 CRORES+ Worldwide Gross. And still counting. #VishwanathAndSons continues its phenomenal run with families coming together and celebrating every emotion on the BIG SCREENS.”
According to the trade website Sacnilk, Vishwanath & Sons has crossed the ₹100 crore net mark in India as well. The website reported a domestic gross of ₹116.42 crore and overseas collections of ₹57.50 crore, bringing its worldwide total to ₹173.92 crore in 10 days, a lower figure than the one the filmmakers reported.
Suriya has 2 films in the top 3 Tamil films of 2026
Nonetheless, Suriya has now achieved a feat he hasn’t in a long time. After a string of flops, the actor tasted success in May with Karuppu. The film, directed by and starring RJ Balaji, also featured Trisha Krishnan in the lead role. It grossed ₹300 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in his career.
Suriya has now gotten the second-highest-grossing film of his career with Vishwanath & Sons, which has grossed over ₹200 crore worldwide. It beat his previous hits Singam 2 (2013) and 24 (2016), which had collected ₹124 crore and ₹118 crore, respectively. Vishwanath & Sons is also the third-highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026. Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, takes the top spot at 323.94 crore. Karuppu is in second place with ₹310.12 crore.
With Vishwanath & Sons facing hardly any competition in Tamil until September, it remains to be seen whether the film crosses the ₹300 crore mark. Directed by Venky, the film tells the story of an industrialist and Olympic-winning pistol shooter who contacts the surrogate mother of his son when he faced a medical complication. The 20-year-younger mother complicates matters when she falls for him. Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon also play key roles.
