This comes after Candace Owens earlier mentioned Loomer’s husband, Andrew Simpson, which seems to have pushed the feud further. Laura Loomer replied under a post by Lord Michael Farmer and wrote, “This is Candace Owens’s father in law by the way… He doesn’t follow his daughter in law on X.” She then asked him directly, “how do you feel about the fact that your son married the #1 Jew hater in America?”So, who exactly is Lord Michael Farmer?Michael Stahel Farmer is a well-known British businessman. He made his name in the metals trading world and is often called “Mr. Copper” because of his success in that industry. Over time, he also moved into politics. He became a life peer in the UK’s House of Lords in 2014, which gave him the title “Lord.”Farmer has also been deeply involved with the Conservative Party in the UK. He served as the party’s treasurer from 2011 to 2015 and later worked with the Conservative Foundation as a director and trustee. Alongside politics, he has also been active in religious and interfaith work and has been linked with the Council for Christians and Jews.Even before this current feud, Farmer had spoken publicly about issues connected to his daughter-in-law, Candace Owens. In August 2024, he shared a detailed thread on X where he addressed antisemitism and his personal views.He wrote, “In view of public comments from a high-profile member of my family, I want to put my own views on antisemitism and Israel’s current military campaign in Gaza on public record.”In that thread, Farmer spoke about learning about the suffering of Jewish people after World War II and said he could not understand how such cruelty could happen. He also shared that many of his close friends are Jewish and described them as kind and thoughtful.Farmer also defended Israel, calling it “a rare example of a democracy in the Middle East” and said it has the right to defend its citizens.
