James Handy, an actor known for his roles in Jumanji, Top Gun: Maverick, and Taps, was tragically murdered by the son of his girlfriend, NY POST reported, citing police.

- The suspect, 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, reportedly flagged down police officers and informed them that he was the person they were seeking, as stated in a news release from the LAPD.
- Law enforcement officials hurried to the 19200 block of Erwin Street in Tarzana on Wednesday morning after receiving a call in which the caller proclaimed, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
- Upon their arrival, officers found the 81-year-old Handy unconscious in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest, as stated by the police. Handy was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. “The victim was transported to local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, where he was pronounced deceased.”
- Gledhill is the son of Handy’s girlfriend and law enforcement officials said that he was residing with his mother during the incident.
