Who Will Qualify for Top 4?- IPL

As the IPL 2026 reaches its midway, the playoff battle is heating up. Each game from now on will be crucial. The early leaders may appear unbeatable. However, one or two poor games may bring them tumbling down. Alternatively, one or two victories might get a struggling side to the playoffs.

Currently, all but three teams have 7 or 8 games remaining. Typically, 16 points guarantee a place in the playoffs. However, this year has been exceptionally competitive, so the Net Run Rate (NRR) could be helpful to reach the playoffs.

Punjab Kings have been magnificent this season. After that, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians must win most of their games. Other teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals find themselves somewhere in the middle, with every game being critical. When these sides meet, it becomes a do-or-die game.

Finally, the fight for the playoffs is wide open. Not a single side has secured its position in the top four, nor has anybody been eliminated.
