David Warner did not play for Karachi Kings in their game against Hyderabad Kingsmen, where Moeen Ali led the side. Warner, who returned to the league after a short hiatus during the break in the schedule, had back pain due to which he was benched. Moeen confirmed his unavailability at the toss,
“He’s not playing. He has a bad back, so unfortunately, he misses out,” Moeen said.
Karachi Kings’ Recent Struggles
Karachi had a tough time against Hyderabad, as the debutant got their first victory of the season. This is the Kings’ second consecutive defeat, with both losses coming at their home venue. The side started out strong and bagged three wins in three matches, going to the top of the table.
NRR Impact and What’s Next
Things started going downside for them following the 159-run defeat versus Peshawar Zalmi, which impacted their Net Run Rate (NRR) heavily. Currently, they are the only side in the top five with a negative NRR. They will be facing Islamabad United in their next game on April 16.
