Rohit Sharma could be out of action due to an injury in the upcoming game between his team and Punjab Kings in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). The batter was seen getting a hamstring injury while playing against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and he had no choice but to pull out injured when batting.

Rohit took scans after the match, and he skipped training too, indicating that he is not quite fit to play. It is reported that the management did not want to take any risks, and that’s why they have decided to give rest to the batter in this match.

It is still unclear how badly Rohit Sharma got injured, but avoiding any further damage seems to be their top priority now. In the Royal Challengers Bengaluru match, Rohit appeared to be hurting when he managed to score just 19 runs from 13 deliveries before pulling out injured.

As of IPL 2026, his scores have been 78, 35, 5, and 19. In spite of that, Rohit went on to record a huge achievement; he was the first person to cross the 6000-run mark for Mumbai Indians. The performance of Mumbai Indians depends heavily on him, and they definitely hope that he gets well soon.
