The ODI World Cup has only been won by Pakistan once in the year 1992 under the Captaincy of Imran Khan. 

The climax match played against England took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia where Pakistan made a total score of 249/6. On the other hand, England was all out for 227, thus, resulting in a victory for Pakistan of 22 runs in the match.

Pakistan Ahead of the 2027 World Cup

Pakistan will compete in the 2027 ODI World Cup having achieved only one World Cup title thus far in their history, their 1992 win being the most memorable moment for them. The country aims to rectify the errors of the last two World Cups after both the 2019 and 2023 editions ended with their elimination before the semi-finals.

Hosts of the 2027 World Cup are South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Pakistan is going to play in Group A which consists of India, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier.
